Alyas Latif is the Founder and Principal of AL-Architecture Studio London. He received his Master of Art in Architecture and his Diploma in Architecture from The University of Westminster and his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from The University of Greenwich, London.
Alyas is passionate about art, architecture and living. He believes that architecture is a labour of love, the impression of timelessness architecture can be created with uncompromising quality underpinned by a proven commitment to sustainable design. Alyas’s strength lies in his approach through leading multi-disciplinary design groups in order to achieve creative design solutions. Prior to founding AL-Architecture, Alyas worked internationally on projects in the UK, mainland Europe and the Middle East on complex and large building projects. He was designer-in-charge of many award-winning projects for public and private clients, across a range of sectors including residential, mixed-use, healthcare, education, transport, office and corporate buildings. He has worked with multi-disciplinary design firms including Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, Llewellyn Davies Yang, Nightingale Associates and Greenhill Jenner Architects.
Alyas Latif’s achievements include ‘Exemption with Merit in Design’ from University of Westminster in 2002 for his diploma in Architecture. He also received the recognition awarded for Building Design Journal’s student of the year in the same year for his project “absence”. He is a visiting lecturer in BA (Hons) Global Business & Design Management at Regent’s University London and serves as a member of Southwark Council Architectural Review Panel.
